This project is located at 97 West 169th Street in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx between Jerome Avenue and the Harlem River. The neighborhood takes its name from ‘The High Bridge,’ New York City’s oldest standing bridge built in 1842. The recent restoration and reopening of the bridge, as well as the New York City’s Jerome Avenue Neighborhood Plan, have contributed to the area’s revitalization.

Informed by the area’s rich history and recent growth, Paul A. Castrucci, Architects has committed itself to introducing this high-efficiency building that inspires its’ participant community and rejuvenates awareness of the area’s rich history. Senior-friendly building features include raised gardening beds, clustered seating and ergonomic benches; well-lit, smooth walking surfaces, and age-friendly exercise equipment.

Our Passive Housing design is intended to create energy saving of 75- to 90-percent. Building features include rooftop solar panels, solar shading, high performance windows, and energy efficient ventilation that will provide comfort and significant savings to residents.
