The New York State Energy and Research Development Authority has recognized Paul A. Castrucci, Architect with the Trailblazing Project Award for the R-951 Residence. The Trailblazing Award honors the Passive House/Net Zero building as an innovative and unique high performance prototype.
In September 2015, the first Net Zero and Passive House building in the city, R-951, was declared the AIA NY COTE winner for the Townhouse category. On December 14th, Paul A. Castrucci was presented the award in a ceremony at the AIA headquarters in New York, where he gave a short lecture on the project's high efficiency for energy conversation and innovating technologies.
On September 10th, 2015, R-951 Residence was recognized by the Passive House Institute in the US as an exemplary project that uses Passive House practices and Net Zero methodologies. R-951 Residence was awarded second place in their Multifamily Passive House Category.
On August 5th, 2015, Brooklyn Deputy Borough President Diana Reyna, on behalf of Borough President Eric L. Adams, bestowed Further Inc., Aeon Solar and our office with Citations in recognition of our work to make energy sustainability a reality.
